Isabella Karajkovic Wins 2025 Dutch "Hippiade" at FEI Pony Level

Isabella Karajkovic is concluding her last year on ponies by winning the 2025 Dutch Hippiade at FEI pony level on 15 August 2025.

Dutch Championships AND "Hippiade"

The Dutch Pony Championships were traditionally held during the "Hippiade" at the KNHS headquarters in Ermelo, but as of 2025 the Dutch pony championships were integrated with the other youth divisions instead of being staged as a totally separate event from the junior/young rider/U25 Nationals. This means that this year it seems like two National Pony Championships took place.

Thirty-eight riders in total competed at the Hippiade at Z2-level and the top 10 scoring pairs in the first round of the team test were eligible to ride round two, the freestyle. The combined results of the two rounds determined the medallists.

Karajkovic Hippiade Champion

Isabella Karajkovic and her 13-year old Dutch Welsh pony gelding First Hummer (by by FS Mr Mobility x Jarno) were undefeated winning both rounds with big scores. Isabella posted 75.641% and 78.167% for the gold. Isabelle acquired the palomino in the spring of 2021 and has ridden him at three consecutive European Pony Championships (2023 - 2024 - 2025), winning team silver in 2025. She earned two consecutive titles at the Hippiade but was fourth earlier at the 2025 Dutch Pony Championships in Exloo.

"Hummie gave it his all today in our last Championships," said Isabella. "I couldn't have pictured a nicer goodbye. He upped it another notch as if he knew today was our last." Isabella used to train with Coby van Baalen but is now getting coached by Nicole Werner. The Woerden based rider is preparing for her transition to horses with the 12-year old KWPN bred Iron Man (by Everdale x Special D), previously shown by Lisanne der Nederlanden.

Silver and Bronze

The silver went to 2025 Dutch Pony Champion and last year's Hippiade bronze medal winner Esmae Niessen aboard her Danish bred Strandgaards Do It My Way (by Dr. Doolittle x Bonansa). She was third in the first round with 72.137% but moved into second place in the Kur with 77.483% to finish overall as the runner-up.

Dutch Team rider Fabienne Raijmakers and the buckskin 7-year old pony cross bred Wrong is Right (by FS Mr Right x Sir Lui) got bronze after placing second in round one (72.692%) and third in the Kur (76.925%).
