British professional dressage rider Henry Boswell has moved to Norway to join the team at Andresen Dressage.
The 39-year old Boswell is a former international youth rider. He was initially trained by Ian Woodhead and Paul Friday and first made it on the British team on DHI Peppino (by Power Man) for the 2002 European Pony Championships in Hagen. He returned on the team for the 2003 and 2004 European Junior Championships and for the 2005 and 2006 European Young Riders Championships on DHI Faederlite (by Farah). In 2010 he showed Margue (by Mont du Cantal x Cordial) at Grand Prix level.
An almost 10-year break from CDI showing followed. Boswell returned to the international arena with Folt (by Ampere x Jetset-D) in 2019. His next CDI was two years later in Wellington Heckfield in May 2021. It was also his last, so far. Boswell married India Yasmeen Popadic on 14 December 2024 and she has joined her husband on the big move to Norway.
Andresen Dressage is headed by Alexandra G. Andresen and located at the historic Evje Manor House just outside Oslo, Norway. The daily management of the yard is in the hands of Ole Jorgen Jorgentvedt.
"We’ve stepped off the plane and into heaven," Boswell said about his move to Scandinavia. "Our new home in Norway isn’t quite ready yet for another few weeks, so until then we’ll be looking out onto the sea in this gorgeous summer house. The horses arrive very soon, and we can’t wait to get them all settled into their new home."
One of Boswell's ridex, Kristina Rausing's Belinski (by ), has stayed in Britain and moved into training with Dhannie Morgan. In 2025 Henry has competed two horses nationally: Unison Junior (by Unison R x Negro) and Woodcroft Fireball (by Furstenball x Caretino Z).
