Switzerland has announced the three horse-and -rider combinations that will represent Switzerland at the 2025 World Championships for young dressage horses.
The WCYH take place in Verden, Germany, on 6 - 10 August 2025.
Because of the small size of the Swiss studbook, Switzerland is only allocated one slot per age category, so three horses in total are sent to Verden.
Biggest absentee from the list is last year's bronze medal winner Nice Touch W. The black Dutch warmblood won bronze in the 6-year old division under Charlotta Rogerson, Switzerland's first ever medal at these Championships. The pair will not be returning this year for the 7-year old division. Rogerson told Eurodressage she did not try to quality Nice Touch W as the WCYH co-incide with the CDI 4* in Dielsdorf, Switzerland's last team selection trial before the European Championships in Crozet.
"My focus this year is with Bonheur," Charlotta told Eurodressage. "I sadly hat to choose and can’t do both. I knew i wanted to compete at the 4* in Dielsdorf on the same weekend to have a chance to be selected for the Europeans. Nice Touch could do Nürnberger instead and is learning the important things for later on."
