The German team selection trials for the 2025 World Championships for young dressage horses kicked off today in Warendorf.
The German Equestrian federation and DOKR hosts the trials at their headquarters. There are two trials. The first on 23 - 25 June 2025, the second and last on 15 July 2025 after which the team is announced
For the first trial the horses are presented in a training session, followed by riding the preliminary test. Public commentary is given after each ride.
Forty-two 5-year olds and thirty 6-year olds are entered. The starters lists for the 7-year olds have not yet been published.
Many foreign riders, from Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Finland, Italy and Belgium are included in the line-up as they ride German bred horses and have to get selected for Verden through the German system.
