The Spanish Equestrian Federation has selected the team for Aachen and individuals for the CDI Deauville in the lead-up to the 2025 European Championships in Crozet.
Spain will be competing in the 5* Nations Cup at the CDIO Aachen (1 - 6 July) with four experienced riders:
- Borja Carrascosa - Frizzantino
- Claudio Castilla Ruiz - Hi Rico do Sobral
- Beatriz Ferrer Salat - Elegance
- Juan Matute Guimon - Lexus
Claudio Castilla is also entered for the 4* with Jota das Figueiras.
A delegation of three riders goes to the CDI Deauville (10 - 13 July).
- Jose Antonia Garcia Mena - Gladiador do Lis
- Francisco Benitez Sanchez - Lord Platinum
- Teia Hernandez Vila - Romero de Trujillo
Interestingly the winner of the 2025 Spanish Championships, Jose Antonia Garcia Mena, declined to ride in Aachen on the team but opted the less pressure environment of Deauville.
A set of Spanish riders will also go the CDI 3* in Macon (FRA) after which the Spanish federation will announce the team for Crozet.
