The 2025 FEI Nations Cup leg in Rotterdam, scheduled for 18 - 22 June 2025, has turned out to be rather diminutive with only three countries entered.

The 2025 CDIO Rotterdam serves as Dutch team selection trial for the European Championships in Crozet, which means that a Dutch team plus eight individual combinations are entered, but only Great Britain and Belgium are adding team power to the line up.

The Dutch team getting tested in Rotterdam includes Marlies van Baalen (Habibi DVB), Hans Peter Minderhoud (Taminiau), Marieke van der Putten (Kuvasz), and Thamar Zweistra (Luxuriouzz

The British team has an interesting mix with Charlotte Fry riding her number one Glamourdale. After the CDI Wellington Heckfield in the U.K. it became became clear that three of four British team spots for Crozet are already reserved for Fry (Glamourdale), Hester (Fame) and Moody (Jagerbomb) but the fourth spot is still wide open. The British selectors are testing combinations in Rotterdam as they fielded Sadie Smith (Swanmore Dantina), Laura Tomlinson (Full Moon) and Thomas Goode (Furstenrausch PS). They will also test candidates in Aachen, where Andrew Gould (Indigro) can prove his mettle.

Belgium is fielding a B-team to Rotterdam as its top riders are saving their horses for the CDIO Aachen two weeks later.  In Rotterdam there will be Suraya Hendrikx (Dear Friend), Amandine Prevost (Quaterdance), Jorinde Verwimp (Charmer) and Wim Verwimp (Jedai de Massa).

Spain is sending an individual rider, Juan Antonio Jimenez, who has been putting serious travel miles on his Quartar this year. Between February and June he has shown the horse in Doha (QAT), Lier (BEL), Aachen (GER), Tolbert (NED), Fontainebleau (FRA), Lier (BEL), and the Spanish Championships near Madrid (ESP).

Strinkingly absent from the Nations Cup are Sweden, France, Denmark, USA, and Germany.
