Cathrine Rasmussen has sold her developing Prix St Georges stallion My Vitality.

My Vitality is an 8-year old Dutch warmblood stallion by Vivaldi out of Tolivia (by D-Day x Argus). He is bred by Willeke Bos and was originally named Mi Amore Taonga.

He is one of two licensed full brothers to Vitalis; the other one being One Two Three.

KWPN Licensed in Denmark

The liver chestnut was presented at the first phase for the 2020 KWPN Stallion Licensing, but was rejected.

Andreas Helgstrand spotted him, bought him and sold a half ownership share to Cathrine Rasmussen in 2020.

In March 2020 he was presented at the Danish warmblood stallion licensing in Herning where he was named premium stallion. He was renamed My Vitality. In the autumn of that year he became the high scorer of the Danish stallion performance test with 902.5 points.

He sired 87 offspring in Denmark and has one licensed son, Strandagergårds McCloud.

Sport Career

The chestnut stallion was initially trained and competed by Spaniard Eric Guardia Martinez

The pair made its show debut in June 2021, winning the qualifier for the national championships. In August 2021 they won the Danish Young Horse Championships in the 4-year old division.

In 2022 Cathrine Rasmussen became the full owner of the stallion. My Vitality did not compete in 2022, but returned to the show scene with Guardia at the 2023 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 8th in the 6-year old final. At the 2023 Danish Young Horse Championships they finished third.

As of 2024 Rasmussen took over the ride herself and she rode him for Norway at the World Young Horse Championships in the 7-year old division, placing 12th in the consolation final

Sold

Rasmussen has now sold "my once in a lifetime horse" as she posted on social media.

"Five years ago I saw him for the first time at Helgstrand Dressage when he was only 3 years old. I immediately thought that this horse I have to own. I was so lucky to be able to acquire 50% of him then,- and later when he was 5, I was able to buy the last 50%, -and bring him home with me to Norway," Rasmussen stated.

"I am incredibly lucky to have had the chance to be a part of this horse’s journey towards stardom," she added. "I now know what it truly feels like to train and ride a Rolls Royce of the horse world."

My Vitality is rumoured to have joined the string of horses of Adrienne Lyle's team. Lyle neither confirmed nor denied the sale to Eurodressage.
