The 5-year old Viva Las Vegas, the 6-year old Schatzmeister MZ, and the 7-year old Silmarillion of Westfalia became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the national show at Hof Gossmeier in Marl on 29 May - 1 June 2025.
In the 5-year old division Leonie Sahm and Matthias Schlamminger's Hanoverian stallion Viva Las Vegas (by Viva Gold x Foundation) scored their second BuCha qualification win of the season after topping the board in Bielefeld at the start of May. In Marl they scored 8.26 for the win with 8 for walk, 8.7 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.8 for submission and 8.3 for general impression. Lena Hassmann and Peter Spelsberg's Westfalian mare Estelle PS (by Escalito x Wynton) were second with 8.22 points. The bay mare got 8 for walk, 8.4 for trot, 8.2 for canter and submission and 8.3 for general impression.
In the 6-year old class at M-level, thirteen combinations competed and Ann-Christin Wienkamp won aboard Mandy Zimmer's Oldenburg stallion Schatzmeister MZ (by Secret x De Niro) with 8.28 points. The bay stallion got 8 for walk, 8.8 for trot, 8.4 for canter, 7.8 for submission and 8.4 for general impression. Lena Hassmann was again second on Spelsberg's Westfalian gelding Elton PS (by Escalito x Wynton) with 8.22 points. The full brother of Estelle got 8.5 for walk, 8.4 for trot, 8 for canter and submission and 8.2 for general impression.
A big field of nineteen pairs competed in the 7-year old division which Sabrina Gessmann aced in the pouring rain aboard Caro von Möller's Silmarillion of Westfalia CvM (by Secret x Florencio) with 77.510%. The runner-up was Stefan Wolff aboard his student Susan Dutta's Oldenburg mare Baroness DC (by Baron x Jazz) with 75.590%.
