After selling her main U25 Grand Prix horse Hexagon's Grandville in the Excellent Dressage Sales, Jazmin Yom-Tov has also sold her second Grand Prix horse Konfucius.

Konfucius is a 10-year old KWPN gelding by Charmeur out of Passao (by Flemmingh x Variant x Uniform). He is bred by Pieter Willems.

Dirk-Jan van de Water

Originally named Kay, the grey was reared in the fields of the Pieter Willems and Maartje Limburg-Scholten.

They presented him at the pre-selection for the 2018 KWPN stallion licensing, but he was not accepted. He sold as a future sport horse to Hungarian Arie Yom Tov, who stabled him at his Dutch barn, Sport Pro Horses in Uden (NED). He was renamed Konfucius, although he also got NRPS registered as C-Kay.

Dirk-Jan van de Water trained and competed Konfucius to FEI level. He showed him as a 3-year old in the Pluvinel young talent competition, the 4-year old pilot at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where he finished 8th. The pair's international show debut followed in 2020 in Pilisjaszfalu in the 5-year old tests. In 2021 he showed the horse in Ornago and Pilisjaszfalu in the 6-year old division.

Jazmin Yom Tov took over the ride in 2022 and first showed him in the 7-year old classes. She won the inaugural Central European Young Horse Championship with him.

She took him straight into the Grand Prix division at age 8 in 2023 and chose him over the more experienced Grandville to compete in the very important Group C Olympic team qualifier. With a 65.652% Grand Prix score the gamble did not pay off and Hungary lost its Olympic team spot to Poland.

In 2024 the pair alternated between the Under 25 and senior Grand Prix tours with CDI starts in Motesice, Samorin, Pilisjaszfalu, winning the World Cup qualifier, and in Achleiten in June 2024. After a 9-month break from international showing, Jazmin rode Konfucius in one CDI in Motesice in March 2025 to finish second in the Grand Prix with 66.382%/

Jazmin announced the sale of "Kay" on social media. The buyer has not been disclosed.

"This one is bitter sweet, as I am thinking back of all of our amazing memories together, writing this with happy tears, as I know you have the best new home," wrote Jazmin. '"Kay you gave me so much joy, happiness and success. I am so so happy to see the amazing family you are getting now, where I know you will be the happiest horse alive."

Jazmin can still rely on her third Grand Prix horse, For Joy, and has Kaboom rising to big tour level.
