Candinsky became the top priced foal in the "Verden Auction OnLive YoungSTARS" auction on 24 May 2025. The auction took place outdoors.
A collection of 72 foals born in 2025 were entered, 69 of them came on offer.
The black colt Candinsky (by by Cornet Obolensky x Contendro) sold for 19,500 euro to California, United States.
The second most expensive price was 17,000 euro. Two foals sold for this amount: Vitus van Scheifele (by Venturo x Fürst Jazz) and Tabaluga (by True Hope PS x Dancier Gold). Salome Mari Scheifele, the 20-year old breeder of Vitus van Scheifele, only started breeding last year after taking over mare Freya from renowned breeder Heinrich Behrmann. He also helped her select the stallion. “A great example of the Hannoveraner Verband’s Next-Gen Breeder project,” said auctioneer Bernd Hickert.
Jumper foal Hellfire PJ (by Heartbreaker x Contender) sold to Bavaria for 15,500 euro.
Ten foals sold for 10,000 euro or more, the other 59 went for less than 10K.
Also going to Spain is Extrablatt (by Extreme US x Furstenball) for 6,750 euro, and Franzo Weltino (by Franziskus x Dante Weltino) for 5,750 euro. An Italian purchased Sunny Surprise (by St. Emilion x San Amour) for 4,750 euro, while a Dutchman secured First Dream (by First Magic x Iron) for 4,250 euro. San Francisco (by San to Alati x Top Gear) goes to the USA for 4,000 euro. Only one bid was offered
The average price was reported to be 7,224 euro.
