German Olympian Dorothee Schneider has premiered a new ride in competition, Maik Kanitzky's small tour horse Rosé.

Rosé is an 8-year old Oldenburg mare by Revolution out of Hutopia van Bergsham (by Chagall R&D x Lord Sinclair x Le Mexico). She is bred by Danish Bolette Wandt at Chateau de Fontaine in France.

The bay mare sold to Maik Kanitzky who put her in training with Nicole Beinlich, head rider at his Gestüt MK Ammerland and Gestüt Heidehof.

She debuted her in competition as a 4-year old at a local show in Langenleuba-Oberhein at A-level and took her to the 2021 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede, where they were fourth.

Beinlich slowly produced her up the levels to M-level in 2023. They finished 37th in the 6-year old Dressage Horse Consolation Finals at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. Their last show was in October 2023.

Owner Maik Kanitzky, who recently bought stallion Elastic from Helgstrand despite their dispute over Gestut Famos, has put both Rosé and Elastic in training with German Olympian Dorothee Schneider.

She also rides Segantini for the owner.

Dorothee premiered Rosé at competition in Walldorf on 6 April 2025, where she posted 72,778% in an S-text. Last weekend at the national show in Zeutern they finished second in the Prix St Georges Special with 73.611% and won the next day with 73.130%.

This weekend the CDI "Horses & Dreams" in Hagen kicks off, which is the first German Grand Prix team observation trial as well as the first qualifier for the Nurnberger Burgpokal and Louisdor Cup. A repeat competitor in Hagen, Dorothee Schneider is this year strikingly absent from Hagen with her string of horses. She is going to compete in the smaller CDI in Mannheim next week.

Several equestrian media have mistakenly reported that Schneider got the ride on "Rosee de Fontaine" (by Revolution x Desperados), the Helgstrand owned mare which Maria Anita Andersen rode to a fourth place at the 2022 Danish YH Championships and ninth place at the 2023 World Young Horse Championships.
