The CDIO Compiègne, a staple on the international dressage calendar and a competitor and spectator favourite, is returning with its 14th edition on 2 - 4 May 2025.
The world's best dressage riders gather in the "Stade Équestre du Grand Parc" for a three-day celebration of international dressage sport
Joie de Vivre
The CDIO Compiègne is a unique dressage event set in the gorgeous park of the historic French town of Compiègne, one hour north of Paris.
As the sole French leg of the FEI Nations Cup series, the CDIO attracts top dressage riders and famous horses for the fans to witness upclose and personal.
With a wonderful trade fair, offering local produce of cheeses, foie gras, champagne and wine, visitors get to enjoy top sport from the comfort of a beautiful terrace, as well as in the bleachers. Joie de vivre and the CDIO Compiègne go hand in hand.
Diverse Programme
The competition kicks off on Friday morning 2 May 2025 with the Pony, Children, Junior and Young Riders classes and throughout the day the seniors will compete in the small and big tour classes alongside the Under 25 Grand Prix riders.
The CDIO 5*, which boasts a purse of 86,600 euro in prize money, begins on Saturday 3 May with the Grand Prix and concludes on Sunday morning with the Special and Freestyle.
On Sunday afternoon 4 May 2025 at 15h00 the competition concludes with a spectacle brought by Lorenzo, the true virtuoso of equestrian artistry. Dubbed the ‘child prodigy of the Camargue’, Lorenzo has dazzled audiences worldwide with his daring, grace, and extraordinary bond with his horses. Fusing strength, elegance, the "Flying frenchman" continues to push the boundaries of equestrian performance, delivering breathtaking displays of horsemanship.
"We want to stay true to our commitment to accessibility, so this event is entirely free for spectators," said show director Monique Marini.

Selectors from various nations send their riders to Compiègne as an observation event and to achieve the necessary scores to be nominated on the national teams. The scores ridden at Compiègne matter as an experienced panel of judges officiates at this show.

He is assisted by 5* judges Katrina Wust (GER), Hans-Christian Matthiesen (DEN), Janet Foy (USA), Maria Colliander (FIN), Magnus Ringmark (SWE), Peter Storr (GBR), Maarten van der Heijden (NED), and Maribel Alonso (MEX).
