
Lukasz Walter has been appointed chair of the new Dressage Committee which the Polish Equestrian Federation (PZJ) has elected.
The committee consists of six members and each member has a specified task for assist in the the development of the discipline in Poland.
- Łukasz Walter – The Chairman and the FEI Judge, responsible for cooperation with FEI, PZJ as well as sports development strategy,
- Dominika Kraśko – responsible for cooperation with coaches and coordination of preparation for key dressage events,
- Joanna Kruk – responsible for contact with judges and breeders, will also be a liaison between other committees to ensure effective communication,
- Karola Mazurek – responsible for contact with competitors, will also focus on youth sports
- Jacek Ryczywolski – responsible for contact with organizers in order to facilitate the event organization process,
- Eliza Skórczynska – The Secretary of the Committee, responsible for universal sport and for effective operation, terms and regulations.
“I am very happy that we managed to get together such a great working team a strong representation of coaches, judges, competitors and show organizers," Walter told Polish journalist Agata Grosicka. "Our main goal is the efficient communication with our dressage community. We want to improve it and as a result to consolidate the Polish dressage community."
The Polish dressage committee seeks to establish a more cohesive training structure across the levels, but starting with the senior riders.
"When it comes to our Senior Team, we would like to create the training system which we lack at the moment," said Lukasz. "It needs to be available for all Senior riders and we want to extend it from the National Senior Team to Team A and team B respectively."
He continued, "when it comes to Children, Junior and Young Riders teams, we’ll continue the cooperation with their current youth team trainer, Andrzej Sałacki. Our mission is to create the system of regional league competitions just like in other European countries where the best riders will be selected as candidates for the national team."
