Thorgersen Secures Svalegård Hot Driver for Carina Cassoe Kruth

Carina Cassoe Kruth's long-time sponsors, Ingrid and Poul Thøgersen, have secured the 5-year old Svalegards Hot Driver for their rider by acquiring a half ownership share for the breeder.

Svalegårds Hot Driver is a Danish warmblood by Hesselhøj Donkey Boy out of Svalegards Hottie (by Hotline x De Noir).

Licensed Stallion

The bay stallion is bred and owned by Else Marie and Jens Chr. Krabbe and presented by Katrinelund stallion station.

He was licensed at the 2022 Danish warmblood stallion licensing but did not get the premium label. He became the winner of the 2022 DWB autumn stallion performance testing and was then named champion at the 2023 DWB licensing in the older stallion group.

In February 2023 Carina Cassoe Kruth received the stallion in temporary training to present him in Herning after which he would return to stud duty at Katrinelund. Kruth retained the ride and won the 2024 Danish Young Horse Championships in the 4-year old division.

Co-Owners

Ingrid and Poul Thøgersen, who own Kruth's top horse Heiline's Danciera as well as Victoria Vallentin's Lyngbjergs St. Paris, have now bought a half share from breeder Krabbe to secure the sport future of the stallion with Carina.

Ingrid and Poul sold their company System TM to the HOMAG group in October 2020 and decided to use half their money for personal survival and the other have for fun, i.e. horses. "It is also a bit financially risky with horses, but we are crazy about horses, and if you have more, the risk is not so great," Poul told Ridehesten.

Their shared goal is for the stallion to make it to the 2024 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo.
