Sportpferde Galleria, the owner of the three Olympic hopeful horses Bohemian, Rossetti, and Vincent Maranello, is seeking forever homes for their top Grand Prix horses where their sport career can be developed and make dreams come true for their new owners.

From Auction to Private Sale

The Mönchengladbach (GER) based company had hoped to find new owners for their horses by the end of the year, so that they could fall under FEI Olympic ownership before the deadline of 15 January 2024, if purchased by a rider with Paris 2024 ambitions.

The management played with the idea of hosting an auction of the three horses in November to propel the sale and to open the market world-wide for these unique horses. They believed that an auction format would provide total transparency in the asking and sales price of the horses without hidden commission fees from trainers on top.

Rossetti at the 2019 European Championship
"In one day the news of the auction renewed so much interest in our horses that we have decided to withdraw the auction format for now and handle each client and request individually in a private matter," said a representative of Galleria Sportpferde. "We want to find forever homes for our three super nice horses. They were bought with the intention to see them at the Paris Olympics and we hope the right candidate will present itself before the end of the year."

Stellar Schoolmasters

Galleria's Bohemian is a 13-year old Westfalian by Bordeaux x Samarant. Under Danish Cathrine Dufour he was fourth at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with a score of 87.507% in the Kur and 81.056% in the Grand Prix. Bohemian won double bronze and Kur silver at the 2021 European Championships with scores of 79.721%, 81.079%, and 88.436%.  This talented gelding is one of a handful of horses in the world able to score in the 80% bracket.  Most recently he has proven to be an equally top scoring horse under a different rider. Last weekend he scored a double victory in the 3* tour at the CDI-W Herning with 73.891% in the Grand Prix and 75.872% in the Special. Such scores that would put a rider from any other nation straight onto a team for a major championship.

Galleria's Rossetti is a 15-year old Danish warmblood by Romanov x Midt West Ibi Light. He was a 2014 World Young Horse Championship finalist and winner of the 2014 Danish Young Horse Championships. Under Henri Ruoste he finished 15th in the Kur to Music finals at the 2019 European Championships after scoring 75.228% in the Grand Prix Special.   Rosetti is a spectacular, very well trained, established Grand Prix horse that can produce top scores with any rider skilled to handle a hotter horse.

Vincent Maranello at the 2023 European Championships
Galleria's Vincent Maranello is a 13-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Blue Hors Zack x Future Cup. He is a former licensed stallion and winner of the  2013 Danish Autumn Stallion Performance Test. He was a 2015 World Young Horse Championship finalist and was fifth at the 2015 Danish YH Championships. He took Hungarian Maté Garai to his first senior European Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck in September 2023, proving the horse's rideability and potential at the highest levels of the sport. He makes an outstanding Under 25 horse, Asian/ Pan Am Games horse, and FEI schoolmaster.

Transparency

Galleria Sportpferde wants to be fully transparent about the asking prices of their horses as it's important to them they find the right 5* home with a dedicated, loving rider.

Therefore it wants to communicate the price range in which they hope to sell their horses. They are open to negotiation and will be accepting nearest offers. Full vetting is available upon request.

  • Galleria's Bohemian: asking price 1,500,000 euro
  • Galleria's Rossetti: price category 400,000 - 450,000 euro
  • Galleria's Vincent Maranello: asking price 500,000 euro
