Solo Dancer and Fortnite, Price Highlights of 2023 Oldenburg Spring Elite Auction

The 99th Oldenburg Elite Auction shone with top results, happy customers from all over the world and two price highlights of 160,000 euro. Around one third of the auction candidates sold abroad.

Six horses of the 34-strong auction lot were knocked-down for more than 100,000 Euros.

Solo Dancer and Fortnite

Price highlight is the champion stallion of the 12th Oldenburg Saddle Licensing Solo Dancer, born 2020, by So Unique out of Dante‘s Daughter by Dante Weltino - Fürst Romancier. He is bred by ZG Werth and owned by the breeder in partnership with Sylvia and Wilhelm Klausing. The charming dancer sold for 160,000 Euros to a renowned dressage stable in Germany.  

Fortnite, born 2016, by For Romance I out of Donna Salina by Don Schufro - Sandro Hit. He is bred by Gestüt Lewitz, Steinfeld, and owned by Lövsta Stutteri AB from Sweden. He also sold for 160,000 euro and will move to a new stable in the United States of America 

Six Over 100,000 euro

Sergio
The licensed stallion Sergio, born 2020, by Sezuan out of Amperetta by Ampere - Don Frederico, is bred by Siegfried Beinroth, Braunschweig, and was owned by Sylvia & Wilhelm Klausing. He was third on the price list, selling to an U25 dressage rider in Baden-Württemberg for 120,000 euro. Ann-Kathrin Lachemann got the ride.

Two future stars were sold for 105.000 Euros each: On the one hand the high flyer Cornetto (by Cornet Obolensky x Cassini II - Candillo) and the strong-moving Valentino (by Vitalis out of Lyoness by Don Frederico - Londonderry). He is bred by Sigrid Schmidt and owned by Heinrich Giesselmann. Valentino will move to an Olympic dressage stable in Sweden.

Foreign Interest

The interest from clients abroad has been enormous again. One third of the collection was sold to Oldenburg friends around the globe. Clients from Italy (3), Sweden (2), Hungary (2), USA (2), Ireland (1), Liechtenstein (1), the Netherlands (1) and Portugal (1) will be happy with Oldenburg horses in the future.

Bright Hope
Bright Hope (by Benicio x Christ) sold for 75,000 euro to Liechtenstein. A Hungarian bought Dexter (by Desperados x Rubin Royal) for 60,500 euro.

Solero (by Sezuan x Donnerhall) stays in Germany for 54,500 euro and moves to Cosima von Fircks’ stable, San Marino (by Sandro Hit x Foundation) fetched 38,500 euro and found a new home in Portugal. Donna Leon (by Don Martillo x Belissimo M) goes to Gunnarlunda in Sweden for 40,000 euro. Ernesto (by Erdinger x Stedinger) moves to the U.S.A. for 32,500 euro.

Sangaree (by San Amour x Furst Romancier) was bought by a German for 42,000 euro.

The total turnover of the Spring Elite Auction was 1.650.500 euro. The average price settled at around 49,000 euro.
