After one season standing at stud at Elite Stallions in Devonshire, Blue Hors Zackorado has returned home to Denmark. In his stead, Blue Hors Viconte has joined the line-up of stallions at the British stallion station.

Zackorado has become the new ride of Paralympic champion Tobias Thorning Jorgensen.

Blue Hors Zackorado

The 2016 born Zackorado is by Blue Hors Zack out of Roxanna (by Florencio x Donnerhall x Rubinstein). He is bred by Paul Rode in Germany.

He was first licensed at the 2018 German ZfDP stallion licensing in Kreuth and named champion stallion. Zackorado did his 14-day suitability test in Adelheidsdorf in April 2019, where he scored 8.34 for dressage and 6.73 for show jumping, totalling 7.70 points. In February 2021 he completed his mandatory sport test in Munster-Handorf and scored 8.14 points.

Owned by the Danish Blue Hors stud, Zackorado was first trained and competed by Spaniard Cristian Tudela Ruiz. In the semi-finals of the 2020 Danish Young Horse Championships he finished second with 90.6 points, but the actual finals were cancelled due to Covid.  At the 2021 Danish Young Horse Championships, they placed fifth in the 5-year old division with 86.4 points.

In 2022 Elite Stallions leased Zackorado for one season to cater to the British breeding market. Under Beth Bainbridge he represented Great Britain at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where he finished 15th in the 6-year old consolation finals
