Pascal Kandziora on For Kingdom at the Stallion Sport Test in Verden

The 4-year old Bonhöffer and the 5-year old For Kingdom became the high scoring horses in the stallion sport test which was held in Verden on 14 - 16 March 2023.

4-YO: Bonhöffer

A large group of 18 colts began the sport test and one dropped out.

The best scorer of the group was the Celle state stud owned Bonhöffer (by Bon Coeur x Carabas x Ampere) with 8.61 points. Presented by Catja Thomsen, he received 8.8 for walk, 8 for trot, 9 for canter, 8.5 for rideability and 9 for general impression.

Closely following in Bonhöffer's footsteps was Gut Neuenhof's Etienne (by Escolar x Sir Donnerhall x Laurentianer). Simone Pearce rode the bright bay to an 8.55 total score with 7.5 for walk, 8.7 for trot, 8.8 for canter, 9 for rideability and 8.5 for general impression. For Etienne this was a good rematch as the horse was excused from the sport test in Munster where he was tacked with an unauthorised snaffle.

The Trakehner bred Kenneth (by Millennium x Shavalou x Sir Chamberlain) followed in third place with 8.53 points. This bay stallion got 7.5 for walk, 8.8 for trot, 9.2 for canter, 8.5 for rideability and 8.8 for general impression.  He was presented by Italian Beatrice Arturi who rides for Gestut Sprehe.

5-YO: For Kingdom

Nine stallions participated in the 5-year old division and two dropped out.

Of the group of seven that completed the sport test, the British Hanoverian bred For Kingdom (by For Emotion x Dimaggio x Caprimond) was the high scorer with a total of 9.05 points. He got 7.8 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 9.8 for rideability and 9.5 for general impression. For Kingdom is bred by British Lynn Crowden of Woodlander stud and was originally named Woodlander Fort Worth. He is owned by Pascal Kandziora.

The runner-up was Bernadette Brune's liver chestnut Hanoverian stallion San to Alati (by Secret x Belissimo M) who totalled 8.62 points under Stefanie Wolf. He got 8.6 for walk, 8.7 for trot and canter, 8.5 for rideability and 8.7 for general impression.
