The KWPN society reported that DNA research has revealed that the KWPN licensed stallion Lennard is not sired by Zuidhorn but by Zeoliet instead.

Lennard was licensed at the 1996 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch. He is out of Willemiena (by Notaris x Talisman xx).

At the time of his licensing, DNA research was done by the Dr. Van Haeringen Laboratory in Wageningen, The Netherlands, according to the standard of that day.

"The DNA research techniques are now much more reliable and now we are able to compete the full DNA. This showed that not Zuidhorn but Zeoliet has sired Lennard," the KWPN society stated.

All members of the KWPN studbook with horses with Lennard in the pedigree have been contacted and will get new passports and paperwork issued.

Lennard's most famous offspring in dressage sport is the retired international Grand Prix horse Talent, which was competed by Grete Puvi (then Barake). The reserve champion of the 2020 French Foal Championships, Pendragon de la Morandiere, is by Secret out of Talent (by Lennard).
