Miu Miu de Hus and Million Grez Neuville Win 2022 French Foal Championship

At the 2022 French Young Horse Championships the filly Miu Miu de Hus and the colt Million Grez Neuville became the winners of the French Foal Championship.

The Young Horse Nationals were hosted in Saumur, France, on 30 September - 2 October 2022 and the Foal Championship fell under the management of "France Dressage."

Fillies: Miu Miu de Hus

Nineteen fillies competed for the title and were assessed by Iben Stroem, Andre Hehn and Olivier Couve.

The winner of the class was Xavier Marie's Oldenburg registered filly Miu Miu de Hus with 83.23 points. Born at Haras de Hus and sired by Governor, Miu Miu is out of Dallas de Hus (by Don Juan de Hus). She scored 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot and 8 for canter. She got 7.79 for conformation and 8.85 for general impression.

The reserve champion was Maia de Villers, a French Lusitano cross bred registered with the CDF studbook and bred at Le Manoir. This filly is by Majestic de Massa and out of Fee de Villers (by Olivi). She scored a total of 81,85 points and got 7 for walk, 8.8 for trot and 9 for canter. Her conformation scored 7.83 and the general impression was 8.75.

The bronze medal went to the OC registered Di Majolie (by Dimaggio Black x Feu du Bagnas) with 80.15 points. Bred by Pierre Hazechnour and owned by Jean François Schramme, Di Majolie scored 8 for walk, 7.8 for trot, 8.2 for canter, 7.93 for conformation and 8.35 for general impression.

Colts: Million Grez Neuville

Eighteen foals competed in the colt division, which was judged by the same panel as the fillies.

Didier Dupeyrat returned home with the champion's title and trophy for his Selle Français registered colt Million Grez Neuville. This Jameson colt out of Darling Grez Neuille (by Don Juan de Hus) totalled 84,30 points for the victory. He got 8.2 for walk, 8.7 for trot, 9 for canter, 7.87 for conformation and 8.90 for general impression.

The runner-up was Maud Fontaine's Selle Français registered Majestic G, who is by Escolador out of Tobefree du Feuillard (by Sandreo). This colt placed second with 83.23 points and got 8.5 for walk, 8.4 for trot and canter, 8.08 for conformation and 8.40 for general impression.

The bronze medal was for Jean Louis Corouge's OC registered Mir de Kerlo (by San Muscadet x Polytraum) with 82.35 points. This colt received 8.7 for walk, 8.3 for trot, 8.0 for canter, 7.88 for conformation and 8.7 for general impression from the judges' panel.
