The Austrian warmblood breeding society has announced the horses that will represent the AWÖ breed at the 2022 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo (NED) on 7 - 11 September 2022.

The AWÖ breeding society held two selection trials at the national headquarters in Stadl Paura. At the second trial on 10 August 2022, German young horse specialist Dr. Ulf Möller served as selector and advisor.

Due to the new FEI rules, Austria is eligible to send only three horses, one per age group, to the 2022 edition of the WCYH. In the past it was allowed to send two per category, but Austria's quota has been reduced based on the size of the studbook (amount of foals born each year).

Selected for Ermelo are:

5-year old

  • Questore (by Quaterback x Coriograf B) - Breeder: Herbert Stanek - Owner Wenzel & Edda M. Schmidt - Rider: Ulrike Prunthaller

6-year old

  • Get you the Moon (by Goldberg x San Amour) - Breeder: Lebrecht Angerer - Owner: Dietfried Angerer - Rider: Lisa Horler

7-year old
