Great Britain’s Lottie Fry added Freestyle gold to her victory in Monday’s Grand Prix Special with another stunning performance from the beautiful black stallion Glamourdale to bring the 2022 World Championships Dressage to a thrilling finale in Herning, Denmark on 10 August 2022.

Germany’s Benjamin Werndl and Famoso OLD were in the lead on a score of 85.893 when Fry entered the arena, but Glamourdale wowed the judges for a huge score of 90.654 which couldn’t be beaten.

And the German rider was pushed off the podium in the final analysis when The Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere steered Hermes into runner-up spot when posting 86.900, and then host-country superstar Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour divided the leading pair when scoring 89.411 for silver with Vamos Amigos.

This was Fry’s third medal of the Championships after helping Britain to team silver on Sunday when the hosts from Denmark made history when claiming gold for the very first time.
