Isabell Werth Premiers Luca Collin's Budhi at 2022 CDI Kronberg

Isabell Werth has premiered Luca Collin's Under 25 hopeful Budhi in the Grand Prix tour at the 2022 CDI Kronberg.

Budhi is an 11-year old Oldenburg stallion Budhi (by Bordeaux x Likoto xx x Rinaldo). He is bred by Hubert and Maria Kasselmann-de Kuyper.

He sold for 455,000 euro at the 2015 P.S.I. Auction to Russian investor Elena and Sergey Knyaginichev.

Under Hof Kasselmann's Nicole Wego, Budhi was fourth at the 2017 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships and 7th in the consolation finals at the 2017 Bundeschampionate. In 2018 he competed in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier for Developing Prix St Georges horses and qualified for the Finals by placing second in Darmstadt. He did not compete in the Finals

In 2019 he showed at small tour level at the CDI Riesenbeck, winning both classes. That year he also tackled the Nurnberger burgpokal circuit once again, while in 2020 he was shown at two Louisdor Cup qualifiers for Developing Grand Prix horses.

In the autumn of 2020 the Collin family bought Budhi.

Luca made her show debut on Budhi at S*** level at the regional show in Wickrath in April 2021 and went on to compete him in Troisdorf. She dropped him to young riders level for the Preis der Besten in 2021, where they were scored 64.026% and 64.474%.

Budhi then disappeared from the show scene for a year to return in April 2022 under Nicole Wego, who rode him at a few national shows in Germany at Grand Prix level as well as the CDI's in Redefin and Wiesbaden.

At the beginning of July, Collin announced her move from Hof Kasselmann back to her usual coach, Jochen Bender. She is renting boxes at Gestut am Wiesengrund.

Luca also rekindled her collaboration with Isabell Werth, through whom she bought her successful young riders horse Descolari in 2018.

At the 2022 CDI Kronberg, Budhi made his show debut under Werth in the Grand Prix for Special. He scored 72.152% to place seventh.
