The 5-year olds Fidano and Rockdale, and the 6-year olds Daim and Rod Laver were the winning horses at the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Ruhlsdorf on 18 June 2022 and in Norten Hardenberg on 18 June 2022.
Ruhlsdorf: Fidano and Daim
Nine pairs competed in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds which was judged by Wolf-Rudiger Beisert, Claudia Rating, and Juliane Gaigalat. Lukas Fischer ruled the roost taking first and second place. He won aboard Frank Pfläger's Holsteiner stallion Fidano (by Fideranz x Silvano) with an impressive score of 8.8 points. The stallion got 8.5 for walk and canter, and 9 for trot, submission and general impression. Fischer and Julia Voigtländer's DSP stallion Alec Baldwin (by Amazing Spirit x Lord Loxley) were second with 8.0. He got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, submission and general impression and 8.5 for canter.
The 6-year old class was small with just four pairs. Judges Jan Schalk, Claudia Rating, and Beissert. Peggy Nears and Gestut Bonhomme's Hanoverian gelding Daim (by DeLorean x Sir Donnerhall) won the class with 8.2 points. The bay gelding got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Two pairs tied in second place with 8.0: Lukas Fisher aboard Voigtlander's DSP mare Frl Susi (by Furst William x Sir Gregory) and Catherine Mayer on Silke Pelzer's Grand Petit de Carree (by Grey Flanell x Hydriot).
Norten Hardenberg: Rockdale and Rod Laver
Eleven combinations rode the 5-year old dressage horse test, which was judged by Dieter Scheermann, Klaus Storbeck and Ralph Tapken. Catja Thomsen and the Celle state stud Hanoverian stallion Rockdale (by Rock Spring x Damsey) aced the class with 8.3 points. They got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Matthias Klatt and his own Hanoverian gelding First Secco K (by Furstenball x Londonderry) tied in second place on 8.2 points with Leslie Rohrbacher on Cindy Schulze's DSP stallion Monairy Dream CS (by Morricone x Lauries Crusador xx).
German born and based French dressage rider Kim Brüning and her brand new ride Rod Laver (by Rock Forever x Fidertanz) won the 6-year old class, besting a field of 7 pairs that were judged by Scheerman, Michael Kruger, and Peggy Richau. Frank Becker's Hanoverian stallion got 9 for walk and canter, 9.5 for trot, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression to finish on a winning total of 9.0 points. Catja Thomsen and Celle's Westfalian stallion Brixton (by Borsalino x His Highness) were second with 8.3 points. The chestnut got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
