Austrian Team Riders Named for 2022 World Championships Dressage

The Austrian equestrian federation (OEPS) has announced the names of five riders that have been short listed for the 2022 World Championships Dressage in Herning on 6 - 11 August 2022. 

Officially OEPS calls it a "long list" but the group in fact represents the team that will travel to Herning to represent Austria. The selector still have to name who the reserve rider is in the group of five

Following a final observation trial at Sissy Max-Theurer's home show in Achleiten, the short list includes the following riders: 

  • Florian Bacher - Fidertraum, a 13-year old Hanoverian by Fidertanz x Rubinstein, owned by Verena Bacher
  • Victoria Max-Theurer - Topas, an 11-year old Baden Wurttemberger by Totilas x Sandro Hit, owned by the rider
  • Christian Schumach - Donna Karacho, a 15-year old Westfalian by Don Schufro x Fidermark, owned by the rider
  • Renate Voglsang - Fürst Ferdinand, a 13-year old Bavarian by Furst Hohenstein x Pitango, owned by Gut Fasanenhöhe
  • Stefan Lehfellner -  Roberto Carlos MT, a 12-year old Oldenburg by Rosandro x De Niro, owned by Victoria Max-Theurer
