Danish young rider Kristian Wurtz Green will be joining the riders' team at Blue Hors stud in Randbøl, Denmark, as of 1 September 2022.

The 20-year old has chosen for a career in riding as his future instead of pursuing an academic career.

I’m happy and grateful to announce, that I will be one of Blue Hors newest riders," he wrote on his social media. To Eurodressage he added, "I have decided to pursue my dream as a professional rider."

Würtz Green grew up around horses with his parents running brood farm and training center Stutteri Schubert in Denmark.  He began his international show career on ponies with D'Artagnan (by Don't Worry x Colano) and Lilo L (by Notre Bac x Manitu N) and represented Denmark at the 2016 European Pony Championships, where he finished fifth in the freestyle final. At the 2017 European Pony Championships he was 8th with Lilo L in the individual test but didn't move on to the Kur.

He made the transition to junior level in 2018 on Schuberts Don Diablo (by Don Schufro x Racot) and Bogegardens Santiago (by Soliman x Wesley). As of 2020 he has been competing Bovbjergs Zhivago (by Romanov x Don Schufro), who he rode to a 12th place at the 2020 European Junior Riders Championships. Since 2021 he has been competing the bay at Young riders level with starts in Hagen, Opglabbeek and most recently in Aalborg, where he won the team test.

Kristian will move to Blue Hors in the autumn.

"I expect to have one of my horses with me, that’s also a reason why I need to sell some of them (Mackattack, Salando)," he told Eurodressage. "My family’s stud will continue with my mom."
