German Olympian Dorothee Schneider waved goodbye to the 11-year old stallion Furst Magic, who returns home to his owner Gestüt Fohlenhof, where he will stand at stud.

Furst Magic is a 2011 born Westfalian stallion by Furstenball out of Senorita Meyer (by Sir Donnerhall x Weltmeyer x Bolero). He is bred by Bernhard Ilting-Reuke.

He was licensed in 2014 first for the Rhinelander society and in July 2015 at a private home licensing for the Westfalian society.  He dropped out of his 30-day performance test in the autumn of 2014 in Neustadt/Dosse and redid it in Schlieckau in the spring of 2015, scoring 8.66 for dressage and 7.45 for show jumping.

Furst Magic was in training at Dorothee Schneider's yard "St. Stephan" for the past 6.5 years.  He arrived at her barn as a 4-year old and she and her team trained him to small tour level.

He made his show debut in 2015 under Laura Strobel, who rode him to a fourth place at the 2015 Bundeschampionate. A year later they were 39th in the 5-year old consolation finals at the 2016 Bundeschampionate.  In 2018 he reached S level and the past few years Dorothee competed him at national small tour level and in 2019 in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers. Their last show was in October 2021 in Reutlingen.

"Furst Magic is a fun horse with a lot of expression and a great mentality and rideability," said Dorothee. "I'll miss this charmer and I wish the Heicke family and Team Fohlenhof a lot of fun and success with him."
