American Grand Prix rider Charlotte Jorst has parted ways with the Swedish warmblood Quarton, who is now continuing his show career under Danish junior rider Alexander Yde Helgstrand.

Quarton is a 12-year old Swedish warmblood by  Quaterback x Don Schufro. He is bred by Per-Arne Persson.

Triple WCYH

Under Finnish Yvonne Osterholm, Quarton competed at the 2014, 2015 and 2016 World Championships for young dressage horses. In 2014 he was 15th in the consolation finals as a 5-year old. In 2015 he finished 14th in the Finals as a 6-year old and in 2016 he was 13th in the Finals as a 7-year old. He also won the Swedish Young Horse Championships in 2015 and 2016.

After the 2016 Swedish Nationals he was sent to Helgstrand to be sold.

Anna Kasprzak

In 2017 Bettina Jaeger competed Quarton in the small tour at the CDI Herning after which he sold to Anna Kasprzak.

Anna rode the gelding at the CDI's in Uggerhalne, Aachen and Herning that year. In November 2018 they made their international Grand Prix debut in Randbol with 69.913% and 70.596%.

Kasprzak then swapped Quarton for Grand Prix horse Addict de Massa.

Charlotte Jorst

In the spring of 2019 American Charlotte Jorst secured Quarton in a horse swap deal when she sent Deep Impact, Ray Dance and Lorenzo back to Denmark.

Charlotte first competed the horse at small tour level in California, before bringing him to Florida in December 2019 in preparation of the 2020 Global Dressage Festival in Wellington. She was not able to compete him there and sent him back to Denmark fairly quickly.

Straight Horse Cosmo at the 2018 DWB Licensing
This late summer Charlotte has agreed to swap Quarton for the 6-year old Danish bred Straight Horse Cosmo (by Grand Galaxy Win out of Romanik (by Romanov x Don Schufro).

He was presented for licensing at the 2018 Danish warmblood stallion licensing in Herning, co-owned by the breeder and Helgstrand. He has been owned and marketed for sale at Helgstrand Dressage since he was a youngster. In 2020 he was competed in Germany by David Blasco Gonzalez-Munoz, while in June 2021 he was shown once by Michael Grønne Christensen in Denmark.

"He's a Grand Galaxy baby. I’ll bring him to Florida," said Jorst, who also owns and competes the breeding stallion Grand Galaxy Win.

Quarton has now become the ride of Danish junior rider Alexander Yde Helgstrand, who last weekend made his national show debut on him at MA1 and MA2 level at Heslegård. He scored 72,7% and 70,1%.

"It was so fun to try and ride Quarton for the first time," said Alexander. "He has so much power and he just loves being there."
