The Danish warmblood licensed stallion White Talisman passed away on 29 April 2021. He was 26 years old.

WCYH Participant
He became the reserve champion of the 1998 Danish Warmblood stallion licensing
Under Morten Thomsen, the grey stallion won the 1999 Danish Young Horse Championships and participated in the 2000 World Young Horse Championships in Arnheim, where they were 26th overall in the 5-year old category.
In 2001 an injury sustained to his leg and trachea while breeding, which interrupted the stallion's show career.
At that time he was ridden and trained by owner Charlotte Botved Sundberg.
Norway
He was approved for breeding for Norwegian warmblood at stood up for stud at Bråtan Gård.
The long-term plan was that White Talisman would be the hopeful for Ann Cathrin Lübbe for the 2012 Paralympics in London, but yet another injury interrupted his show career.
The white stallion could not stay in full training without showing issues, which veterinarians were unable to solve.
Switzerland
In 2012 White Talisman sold to Switzerland as a breeding stallion and schoolmaster to Cornelia and Andrea Heimgartner.
The Heimgartners stood the stallion up for stud, and he was still offered at stud this year. A pasture accident became fatal for the grey stallion.
"Kermo’s White Talisman spent the last years of his retirement in a social group with other horses," said Heimgartner. "After a heavy fall on the pasture, the medical team of the Animal Hospital in Zurich fought for the life of the 26-years-old stallion. However, he had to be relieved of his pain on 29 April 2021."
Legacy
White Talisman had reasonable success as a breeding stallion in Scandinavia. By 2007 he has sired 136 offspring in Denmark. In 2007 he covered 6 mares in Norway.
He also sired the international jumper, Miss Holsteins Matinique, and Well Done LWS (by White Talisman x Davinci), which finished 10th at the 2017 Swiss Warmblood Foal Championship.
As a dam sire he can be found in WCYH participant Baunehojens Carpaccio (by Charmeur) and international jumper Holsteins Bacardi D Balou (by Balou du Rouet x Kermo's White Talisman).
