The 8-year old Westfalian licensed pony stallion Kachunga has been sold to Denmark as an FEI sports pony for Michella Skovsager.
Bred by Ingrid Schmidt, Kachunga is a 2012 born Westfalian stallion by Classic Dancer out of St.Pr.St. Dakota B (by FS Don't Worry).
He is named after the international football player Elias Kachunga, who now plays for Sheffield.
Double Bundeschampionate Finalist
The bay was licensed as a premium stallion at the 2014 Westfalian Pony Stallion Licensing, presented by owner Jill Jessica Mieleszko who pruchased Kachunga as a 3-week old foal.
He was first competed by Rebekka Rösler who became the Westfalian reserve young pony champion with him and placed fourth at the 2016 Bundeschampionate.
In 2017 Nele Brosswitz climbed aboard and was again reserve champion at the Westfalian Regionals, but the pair did not compete at the Bundeschampionate for which it had qualified because the pony cut himself above his eye in the stall in Warendorf. In 2018 Brosswitz and Kachunga returned to Warendorf and were 8th in the Bundeschampionate for 6-year old dressage ponies.
In 2019 the pony was competed by his new rider Vivienne Borgmann in the FEI pony tests in Germany. Their international show debut and sole CDI competition so far was the 2019 CDI Exloo, where they were third in the team test and seventh in the kur.
The pair consistently showed at national classes in 2020 and were selected to ride in the German pony team trials for the European Championships as one of eighteen pairs in total.
Kachunga has now been sold to Denmark as the future FEI sports pony for Michella Skovsager, who has been competing FEI dressage pony Klinnsmann and jumper pony Ta Wadir ox at national level.
Kachunga moved to Denmark in October.
