Bonbibi, Full Sister to Budhi

Bonbibi is a 5-year-old, leggy Oldenburg mare from a proven dressage family. She is bred by Maria Kasselmann-de Kuyper and Hubert Kasselmann and born at Osthoff Stud.

Her dam La Perla is a daughter of the Thoroughbred stallion Likoto xx, who stood at Werner Schockemöhle's stud at the time. Great grand sire Rinaldo was not widely used as a sire, but he produced a lot of Grand Prix horses. Among his progeny is the Dutch team horse Aha, which was successful under Maria Kasselmann-de Kuyper herself.

Bonbibi's full siblings are already competing successfully at small tour level. The stallion Budhi is being campaigned by German young rider team member Luca Collin after Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer rode him at the Bundeschampionate and qualified him for the Nurnberger Burgpokal. Full sister Bliss has been acquired as a new dressage hopeful for US team rider and four-time Olympian Ashley Holzer.

Bonboni has so much natural talent for collection. "We are confident that once Bonbibi has fully matured, she will easily emulate her siblings in the dressage arena," said François Kasselmann. "Make sure you also watch her work in-hand."

Bonbibi's name was chosen by Maria Kasselmann-de Kuyper, who also oversees many aid projects in India. She selected the Indian goddess of protection as a namesake for this special mare.
