Trakehner

At the 2020 Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster, the sires Goldschmidt and Herakles have been proclaimed Elite Stallions by the studbook.

Goldschmidt

Goldschmidt is by Biotop out of Goldstuck IV (by Hohenstein x Saros xx) and bred by Antoon van Osch in The Netherlands.

Born in 2000, Goldschmidt was licensed in 2003 in Leverkusen and did his 70-day stallion performance test in Warendorf in 2003, scoring 126.53 for dressage (3rd) and 89.50 for show jumping (20th) to finish with an index of 105.97 points, placing 9th out of 24 participating stallions.

He was first competed by Jana Freund and competed at the 2003 Bundeschampionate. The black sustained a sport career ending injury in 2005, but continued breeding on small scale. His most famous offspring is the 3-year old Trakehner Mare Champion Praise Me (ds Tuareg), who now competes at small tour level.

He sired two licensed sons, Pommard (ds Induc) and Sullivan (ds Handryk), and 11 state premium daughters.

Herakles

Herakles is by Gribaldi out of Helenah de L (by Michelangelo x Arthus) and bred by Mette Hansen in Denmark.

He was the reserve champion of the 2011 Trakehner Stallion Licensing and did his 30-day performance test in 2012 in Munich Riem, scoring 7.61 for dressage and 6.58 for show jumping. He then retained his licensed status through his achievements in sport.

He became Trakehner young horse champion in 2013 under Mareike Peckholz. He continued his sport career under Dorothee Schneider, Laura Ströbel, Therese Nilshagen, and Ann-Christin Wienkamp.

Owned by Norbert Timm, the stallion sold at the Glantz und Gloria Auction for 400,000 euro. He apparently sold to Hamburg. The FN database lists Renate Weber as owner. Since his sale the stallion has been competed by Paula and Wieger de Boer.

Herakles sired one licensed son, Dezember (ds Imperio).
