Speedy recovery for Catherine Henriquet

French Grand Prix rider Catherine Henriquet has been hospitalized after falling off her horse on 8 August 2020. 

The 65-year old was lifted from the saddle when her horse spun round vehemently. She was transported to the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumothorax and got injured to five ribs. 

Henriquet (née Durand) is a French Olympic dressage rider, having competed at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. 

In 2011 she made her come back to international top sport level on Paradieszauber and represented France at the 2011 European Championships in Rotterdam. She was the French Grand Prix Champion in 2013

Between 2015 and 2016 she competed Carola G (by Caretino x Donau III) and Scherzo ZC (by Ferro x Romadour II) at international Grand Prix and medium tour level. Her most recent partner is Lexus Gold (by Locksley II x Donnerhall), with whom she showed medium at the 2018 CDI Saumur. 

Henriquet runs her own dressage stable, Les Ecuries de la Panetiere in France. In 2014 her husband, renowned classical dressage trainer Michel Henriquet passed away.
