Fabritius and First Date Win 2020 Donzdorf Bundeschampionate Qualifier

The 5-year old Fabritius and the 6-year old First Date were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at Baden Wurttemberger Regional Championships at the Casper family's Gestut Birkhof in Donzdorf on Friday 31 July 2020. 

In the 5-year old division 15 combinations competed for the title and a ticket to Warendorf. Nicola Haug and the Casper family's chestnut stallion Fabritius (by For Romance x Disco-Tänzer) topped the board with 8.4 points. The stallion got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Following in the distance was Carina Harnisch aboard her own Sheldon Cooper (by Sezuan x Rosenstein). They earned 7 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 7 for submission and 8 for general impression to finish second on 7.8. 

The 6-year old class presented only 8 pairs and professional Katrin Burger aced the class with Martha-Rose Kullen's stallion First Date (by For Romance x His Highness). The black got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and general impression to finish first with 8.3. Well behind the winner's duo was Nicola Haug on the Casper family's mare Libell (by Lord Leopold x Lambada). The former Baden Wurttemberger Elite Mare champion Libell received 7.5 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression to place second with 7.8 points.
