Taminiau, Jameson, Imposantos Win Second Leg of 2019-2020 KWPN Stallion Competition

The 4-year old Taminiau, the 5-year old Jameson, and the 6-year old Imposantos became the winners of the second qualifier of the 2019-2020 KWPN Stallion Competition circuit, which was held in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 11 December 2019. 

The KWPN Stallion Competition is an ideal occasion for breeders to assess the quality and potential of young licensed Dutch warmblood stallions.Three qualifiers are held (Kronenberg, Ermelo, Zuidbroek) and the Finals take place at the 2020 KWPN Stallion Licensing in Den Bosch on 29 January - 1 February 2020.

At the qualifier in Ermelo, Hans Peter Minderhoud rode his two horses in the L-level division to the same winning score with 92 points. Aboard Gaston Glock's Hanoverian bred Taminiau (by Toto Jr x Sandro Hit) he earned 9.5 for walk and trot and 9 for canter, potential and harmony. He was officially ranked number one because of the higher potential score. With Gaston Glock's KWPN bred King Karim (by Toto Jr x Painted Black) he received 9 for walk and trot and 9.5 for canter and harmony. Judges Joyce Heuitink and Frenk Jespers rewarded King Karim with a 9 for potential. Charlotte Fry and Kjento (by Negro x Jazz) landed third place with 92 points. 

In the M-level the duel between Jameson and Johnny Depp ran in favour of the former this time. Marieke van der Putten and the Lemmens couple's KWPN stallion Jameson (by Zack x Negro) scored a winning total of 94 points. The walk earned an 8 from this panel of judges, while the trot and canter scored 10. With 9.5 for harmony and general impression the victory was theirs. Renate van Uytert and her husband Joop's KWPN stallion Johnny Depp (by Bordeaux x Jazz) tied with Dinja van Liere on Joop TV (by Ravel x Krack C) on 92 points, but place two was for Johnny Depp, who earned 9 for walk, canter and harmony and 9.5 for trot and potential. Tim Coomans' Joop TC earned 9.5 for trot, canter, harmony and potential and 8 for walk.

At Z-level four combinations competed and Bart Veeze on Imposantos (by Wynton x Krack C) fulfilled their favourite's role. He scored 94 points with a 10 for trot, 9.5 for walk, 9 for canter and 9.5 for harmony and potential. Renate van Uytert and In Style (by Eye Catcher x Lorentin I) landed second place with 93 points. The bay got 8.5 for walk, and 9.5 for trot, canter, harmony and potential. Jennifer Sekreve and Indigro (by Negro x Jazz) slotted in third with 83 points.
