The Swiss Equestrian Federation has announced the team that will represent Switzerland at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, U.S.A. on 12-15 September 2018.

Following the results achieved by the Swiss riders at the 2018 CDI Crozet last weekend, the dressage selectors were able to make their choice for the team.

The team will be captained by Genevieve Pfister.

"We have a good mix between experienced and very young riders," said Pfister. "Our goal is that all riders can do their optimal performance in the Grand Prix and contribute to a good team result. It would be nice if one or more riders achieve to get one round further or even to make it to the Kur finals."

The Swiss team includes:

  • Caroline Hacki - Rigoletto Royal CH
  • Antonella Joannou - Dandy de la Roche CH
  • Estelle Wettstein - West Side Story (reserve horse Friedrich der Grosse)
  • Birgit Wientzek Plage - Robinvale

No reserve has been named
