The FEI Bureau, the body responsible for the general direction of the FEI and for all relevant matters not consigned to the General Assembly, held an in-person meeting at FEI Headquarters in Lausanne (SUI) on 18 and 19 June.

The FEI Bureau allocated the 2020 FEI Dressage European Championship for Young Riders & Juniors to Hartpury (GBR).

The tentative dates for the event are 27 July - 2 August 2020.

Hartpury has hosted the 1997 European Pony Championships and annually organizes the CDI Hartpury in the summer.

Hartpury Equine Director Phillip Cheetham told British Dressage: “We love horses at Hartpury and we’re extremely proud to have been named as host for these two major championships in 2020 – it’s a massive coup.  It’s a real tribute to the world-class facilities that we have at Hartpury and the wealth of experience our team has in successfully staging top equine events, such as the International Hartpury Horse Trials in August. We’re extremely excited about welcoming the best young riders in Europe to Hartpury in 2020 and providing the environment in which they’re able to produce their very best.”
