Fritz, Top Seller at 2017 Glantz und Gloria Auction

The 4-year old Hanoverian Fritz (by Furst Romancier x Rotspon) became the top seller at the new Glantz und Gloria auction of foals and young sport horses  held in Delingsdorf, Germany, on 13 August 2017.

The Glantz und Gloria auction is organized by Holsteiner aficionados Enno Glantz, Wulf Hinrich Hamann, Sören von Rönne, Dieter Mehrens, Reimer Hennings, Tjeert Rijkens en Tjark en Marten Witt. They not only focused on the jumpers, but also selected some locally bred dressage horses.

The most expensive sport horse was the Hanoverian bred Fritz which fetched a knock down price of 90,000 euro. Jumper Ewulfi (by Connor x Carthago) sold for 52,000 euro.

Quentin (by Quasar de Charry x Munchhausen) sold for 60,000 euro, while Dorencio (by Don Nobless x Florencio) sold for 28,000 euro. Four dressage horses were offered, the fourth one Doriana (by Don Nobless x San Remo) sold for 27,00 euro.

The most expensive foal was dressage colt Ed Sheeran (by Escolar x San Amour), switching owners for 80,000 euro. The most expensive jumper foal was a For Pleasure x Casall offspring, which sold to Slovakia for 47,000 euro.

An Ampere x Sunny Boy x Weltmeyer sold for 13,000 euro, while an Ibiza x Sandro hit x Rubinstein switched owners for 12,000 euro. Local clients bought a Sezuan x Hotline x Contender for 11,000 euro.

The average price for a foal at this auction was 16,274 euro, while a sport horse cost 32,631 euro on average.
