Sixtus Retired from Stud

Gestut Hörstein's foundation stallion Sixtus has been retired from stud. The Trakehner elite sire is 28 years old and will now enjoy a full retirement.

Sixtus is bred by Manfred Blomeyer and owned by Gestut Hörstein. He is by Habicht out of Stradelle (by Ibikus x Masur).

Sixtus was the reserve champion of the 1991 Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster, Germany and scored 113.52 points in the Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf.  In 2001 he was proclaimed Trakehner Stallion of the Year.

Sixtus sired numerous licensed offspring, including Axis, Buddenbrock, Couracius, and Kasparow.
