Brianna, First Choice, Fusion Win 2016 Cloppenburg Bundeschampionate Qualifier

At the Weser Ems regional show in Cloppenburg, Germany, on 22 - 23 June 2016, the 5-year olds Brianna and First Choice and the 6-year old Fusion OLD claimed the winner's trophy in the L and M-level dressage horse classes, which served as qualification tests for the 2016 Bundeschampionate Finals to be held in Warendorf, Germany, the first week of September.

The 5-year old division in Cloppenburg was split into two groups due to its large size. Anne-Kathrin Pohlmeier and the Hanoverian mare Brianna (by Belissimo M x Wolkenstein II) scored the highest with 8.2. The liver chestnut mare got 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter and submission and 8 for general impression. Sandra Kötter and the Hanoverian licensed stallion Danzador (by Diamond Hit x Lauries Crusador xx) were second with 8.0.

In the second group of 5-year olds Tessa Frank steered Helmut von Fircks' Hanoverian stallion First Choice (by Fidertanz x De Niro) to first place with 8.1. The dark bay stallion got 8s for walk, trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Oliver Oelrich and the Hanoverian stallion Burlington II (by Breitling x Rohdiamant) were good for second place with 8.0. The chestnut stallion got 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.

Anja Engelbart and Paul Schockemohle's Oldenburg stallion Fusion OLD (by Furst Romancier x Sion) reigned supreme in the 6-year old division with a total score of 8.3. The dark bay stallion got 9 for walk, 8 for trot, canter, and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Jutta Oelrich-Verlage and the Oldenburg mare Quadriga (by Quaterback x Danone I) followed in a distance in second place with 7.8. The liver chestnut mare earned 7 for walk, 8 for trot, 7.5 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
