The dressage committee of the Belgian Equestrian Federation has approved and nominated the teams that will represen Belgium at the 2016 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Oliva Nova, Spain, on 19 - 24 July 2016.
The Belgian teams will be supported by brand new chef d'equipe Alain Rauw, who made his recommendation for the teams to the dressage committee.
Rauw recommended the following teams, to which the committee agreed upon:
Junior Riders
- Numa Verberne - Riverdance, an 18-year old Hanoverian by Wolkentanz I x Hill Hawk xx
- Laura Luyten - Dark Chocolate, an 8-year old Westfalian by Damon Hill x Florestan
- Kate Wiggins - Corona, a 9-year old Dutch warmblood by Tuschinski x Negro
- Emily Anthonissen - Fair Diamond DHB, a 9-year old Hanoverian by Farewell III x Royal Diamond
The junior reserves are Delphine Beck (Zelion B) and Amber Heidbuchel (Wachenheim)
Young Riders
- Charlotte Defalque - Botticelli, a 10-year old Dutch warmblood by Vivaldi x Koss
- Jamina Gysels - Zico, a 12-year old Dutch warmblood by Sir Sinclair x Homme d'Amour
- Nastassja Roussel - Armaggedon, an 11-year old Dutch warmblood by Contango x Olivi
- Sanne Kielenstijn - Air Miles PB, an 11-year old Dutch warmblood by Turbo Magic x OO Seven
The young riders' reserves are Denis Bervoets (Seymour) and Axelle Janssen (Precious Black Van De Heernis) .
