2016 Bundeschampionate Qualifier

The 5-year old Sundowner and the 6-year old La Costo were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Babenhausen regional show on 10 - 12 June 2016. Nineteen horses in total contested the two BuCha classes.

Tessa Frank and Helmut von Fircks' Rhinelander stallion Sundowner (by Stoiber x Weltmeyer) topped the board with an 8.1 score in the 5-year old division. The stallion got 8.5 for walk, and 8s for trot, canter, submission and general impression. Two horses tied in second place with 8.0: Kerstin Kronaus' Hanoverian Doctor Davidson (by Don Frederico x Lauries Crusador xx) got straight 8s for walk, trot, canter, submission and general impression. Eike Bewerungen and Von Fircks' Hanoverian stallion Fentino (by Fielmann x Don Frederico) scored 9 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.

In the 6-year old division Christiane Schwärzler and La Costo (by Licosto x Rockwell) got the trophy with an 8.2 total score. Her horse earned 8.5 for walk and trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. There were two second place-getters with 8.1: Rudolf Widmann on Sandokan (by San Amour x His Highness)got 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter and 8 for submission and general impression. Alexandra Sessler and Chilly Jam (by Romanov x Compliment) earned 7 for walk, 9 for trot, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
