2018 World Equestrian Games

Bromont is getting ready to welcome the world to the 2018 World Equestrian Games from August 11-26, 2018. An event that promises to be larger than life, for the whole family and for all to enjoy. Bromont will display its legendary hospitality, its country setting and the many charming villages of the Eastern Townships with open arms.

All this as part of a long tradition of international competitions that followed the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, from equestrianism all the way to skiing and mountain biking.

Certain modifications will be made to the current site to upgrade its facilities. The construction of an indoor arena for reining and vaulting competitions will begin in the spring of 2016. A team of architects is currently preparing the model for all buildings to get an idea of how they will sit in the Olympic Equestrian Park landscape.

Animal Welfare

A veterinary clinic for horses will be led by Dr. Yves Rossier, who was appointed Veterinary Services Manager. As a professor affiliated with Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal, Dr. Rossier will work closely with the organizing committee of the 2018 FEI World Equestrian GamesTM. Previously, Dr. Rossier was the President of Veterinary Services at the 2015 Pan-Am Games, a foreign veterinary delegate at the 2014 FEI World Equestrian GamesTM in Normandie and Vet Clinic Team Leader at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Seminar with NFs in June

Bromont has already invited the National Federations to visit Bromont in June 2016 during the CCI3* so that mission leaders can see the site in action. After technical presentations on the 2018 Games, they will have the opportunity to visit the region, as well as Bromont itself.

Test Events in 2017

Certain events will be held during regular competitions, while others will be organized specifically for these disciplines.
This will be our opportunity to host many of the riders and their teams at Bromont, and have them discover our hospitality and gastronomy first-hand. In addition, COJEM will take note of any adjustments to deliver the most flawless hosting of the 2018 Games.
