South American Teams Named for 2015 Pan American Games

The South American countries of Chile, Colombia, Costa Rico, Guatemala and Venezuela have announced their teams that will compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, on 11 - 14 July 2015.  Puerto Rico, Bermuda and Dominican Republic are sending individual riders to the Caledon equestrian centre in Palgrave, Ontario, where the dressage Pan Ams will be held.

With the exception of Argentina, the South American countries are all fielding teams with only small tour combinations, even though two Grand Prix riders are permitted per team. 

Argentina

  • Micaela Mabragaña - Granada, 19-year-old Sweedish Warmblood gelding
  • Cesar Lopardo Grana -  Tyara, 15-year-old KPWN mare>
  • Maria Florencia Manfredi - Bandurria Kasero, 9-year old Silla Argentino gelding
  • Juliana Ugalde, 44 years old, and Caquel Cautivo, 18-year-old Silla Argentino gelding

Chile

  • Virginia Yarur - Finn, 10 year-old Rhinelander gelding.
  • Oscar Coddou- Amarillo VDL, 10-year-old KWPN stallion
  • Julio Fonseca -  Wettkong, 9-year-old Hanoverian gelding.

Colombia - Short List - reserve pair to be named

  • Marco Bernal- Farewell IV, 14-year-old Westfalen stallion
  • Juan Mauricio Sanchez - First Fisherman, 13 year-old Hanoverian gelding
  • Maria  Aponte - Pretty Woman, 10-year-old Oldenburg mare
  • Raul Corchuelo -  Beckham, 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding
  • Constanza Jaramillo - Wakana, 15-year-old Sachsen-Thüringen mare

Costa Rico

  • Christer Egerstrom - Bello Oriente, 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding
  • Anne Marie Egerstrom -  Amorino, 19-year-old Warmblood gelding
  • Michelle Batalla - Ferro, 18-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion, or Westergardens Vivi Light, 14-year-old Danish Warmblood mare

Guatemala

  • Andrea Schorpp - Zedrick Dyloma, 11-year-old KWPN gelding
  • Alexandra Dominguez - Beijing A, 9-year-old KWPN mare
  • Margarita de Castillo - Quanderus, 10-year-old Mecklenburger gelding
  • Esther Mortimer - Adajio, 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding

Venezuela

  • Irina Moleiro de Muro - Von Primaire, 13-year-old KWPN gelding
  • Patricia Ferrando - Alpha’s Why Not, 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding
  • Alejandro Gomez - Zalvador, 11-year-old KWPN gelding

Individuals:

  • Dominican Republic: Yvonne Losos de Muñiz - Foco Loco W, 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding
  • Puerto Rico: Luis Reteguiz Denizard -  Royal Affair, 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding
  • Bermuda: Virginia McLey - Wolkenglanz, 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding
