Eleven colts were approved for Hanoverian breeding at the 2014 Hanoverian Stallion Approval held in Verden, Germany, on 9 December 2014. This approval was open to colts already licensed with other studbooks as well as 'older' stallions which have completed their stallion performance test.
The Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Committee was quite strict on a few stallions today, not approving for instance the show jumper Chacco's Son II, which was the winner of the 30-Day Stallion Performance Testing in Neustadt/Dosse a few weeks ago. They also did not accept the 5-year old Westfalian licensed Brisbane (by Belissimo x De Niro), nor the 4-year old FS Cleveland (by Cassini Boy Junior x Sir Shostakowitch xx), nor the recenty Westfalian licensed 2.5-year old Viva Westfalia (by Vitalis x Furst Heinrich).
Five dressage colts in total were approved for Hanover:
- Borsalino (Westf, by Boston x Fidermark)
- Rock Springs (by Rock Forever x Fidertanz)
- Rock My Soul (by Rock Forever x Furst Heinrich)
- Baccardi (Westf, by Belissimo M x De Niro)
- Duendecillo (Finn wb, by Don Romantic x Midt-West Ibi -Light)
