The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced the appointment of the US Dressage Youth Coach and the Assistant Dressage Youth Coach. George Williams will serve as the US Dressage Youth Coach and Charlotte Bredahl-Baker will serve as Assistant Dressage Youth Coach
, pending contract negotiations.
George Williams is an accomplished International Grand Prix competitor that is widely renowned in his field. With Rocher, he helped the U.S. team earn a Bronze medal at the 2005 CHIO Aachen and was the 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Grand Prix National Champion. Williams, the current President of the United States Dressage Federation, has brought numerous horses and riders up the levels and is a sought-after clinician. He has plenty of expertise to share in his new role as the US Dressage Youth Coach.
Charlotte Bredahl-Baker is a well-known trainer and FEI judge who was born and raised in Denmark before moving to the U.S. at the age of 22. She has an impressive list of accolades, including a Team Bronze medal from the 1992 Olympic Games with Monsieur and a Team Silver medal from the 1997 North American Championship with Lugano. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Assistant Dressage Youth Coach position.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to be part of the US Coaching staff," Bredahl-Baker said. "I am thrilled to be working with George Williams. He has such fantastic organizational and leadership skills and is very familiar with every Youth Program. We both have many years of training and coaching experience and I can bring my international judging experience to the table. I have always had a passion for mentoring Youth, and I can't imagine anything I would rather be doing than this job."
