The 5-year old Furstenstern and the 6-year old Fabious were the winners of the two Bundeschampionate qualification classes for dressage horses held during the South German regional championships in Nordlingen, Germany, on 24 - 27 July 2014. The 5-year old division was judged by Gerd Stickinger and Roland Disterer, for the 6-year old class judge Frank Diener joined the two on the panel.
Kay Pawlowska, head rider at the Saxon state stud in Moritzburg, led the L-level test for 5-year olds on the Hanoverian stallion Furstenstern (by Furst Romancier x Dacaprio) with a total of 8.4. The pair scored 8.5 for walk, trot and canter, 8.0 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Jorg Schrödter and the Oldenburg stallion Divaro (by Dimaggio x Stedinger) were the runners-up with 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for walk, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Ralf Kornprobst and the Uta Grosserichter's Hanoverian stallion Fabious (by Fidertanz x De Niro) dominated the 6-year old division with an 8.2 score. The pair earned 8.5 for trot and canter, 7.5 for walk, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Nicola Haug and Volker Wulff's German Sport Horse mare Patty (by Quaterback x Casado) slotted in second with 8.0. They got 8.5 for trot, 8 for walk, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
