French international Grand Prix rider Alizee Froment has forged a fresh future deciding to relocate to Joachim Arl's new private stable near Maastricht, The Netherlands, where she has received the ride on several new horses, including World Equestian Games' hopeful Ehrendorf.

Gaining international recognition as French pony team chef d'equipe as well as fame aboard her Lusitano Grand Prix horse Mistral du Coussoul, Froment has wandered around France in search of a stepping stone to take her career to the next level. Froment, who recovered from re-injuring a cracked vertebrae in 2012, seems to have found fertile ground in The Netherlands after being based briefly in Braine L'Alleud, Belgium.

At Arl's private stable near Maastricht, Alizee has set up shop riding her own horses, preparing sales horses, and coaching Joachim's children, Belgian pony rider Antonia  and Junior/under 25 rider Lavinia, who have considerably shortened their commute for training as their home is only 12 kilometers from the yard.

Alizee has obtained the ride on Ehrendorf, an 11-year old Westfalian stallion by Ehrentusch x Ferragamo, schooled to Grand Prix level by Belgian Jan Dupont. Under the auspices of French team trainer Jan Bemelmans the rising duo has already won its first national show in Massenhoven, Belgium, on 8 June scoring 67,850%. This promising score has opened to door to a potential French team selection for the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

The pair will try to get its Minimum Eligibility Scores and qualification for Normandy by competing at the WEG test event in the d'Ornano Stadium in Caen on 23 - 26 June and at the CDI Pompadour directly afterwards on 27 - 29 June.

"There has been a lot of movement in my life last year, but I want to build something and believe I've now been giving a unique opportunity," Froment told Eurodressage. "We'll have to see what the future brings."

"We have a good team in place with Jan. We are grateful to Ehrendorf's owner Clodagh Wallace to offer us the horse for this WEG campaign," Arl told Eurodressage. "Without mistakes this horse can surely score over 70% and be a prospect for the French team. Alizee and Ehrendorf just need to form a real combination over the next few weeks and then everything is possible."
