While the 2014 CDIO-PJYR Future Champions are gearing up to kick off on Thursday, Hof Kasselmann in Hagen also hosted a national Bundeschampionate qualification class for 5-year olds on Wednedsday 11 June 2014. The turnout was so good with 32 competitors that the class was split into two groups. The winners were Flirtfaktor, Samoura M and Romulus von Nymphenburg.
The small first group was dominated by home rider Eva Möller on Victoria Michalke's Hanoverian gelding Flirtfaktor (by Furst Romancier x Prestige Pilot). The pair scored a total of 8.60, earning 9 for trot, 8 for walk, 8.5 for canter and submission and 9.0 for general impression. Holga Finken and the Westfalian licensed stallion Brisbane (by Belissimo M x Londonderry) were second with 8.2, posting scores of 8.5 for trot, 7 for walk, 9 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Tessa Frank and Helmut von Fircks' Westfalian stallion Nymphenburgs Rockstar (by Rock Forever x Florestan) finished third with 8.1. This pair received 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for walk, and 8 for submission and general impression.
The larger second group featured two winners which tied in first place with an 8.3 overall score. Ann Christin Wienkamp and Judith Mussmann's Westfalian mare Samoura M (by San Amour x Ferragamo) earned8.5 for trot and canter, 8.0 for walk and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Tessa Frank and Helmut von Fircks' Westfalian licensed stallion Romulus von Nymphenburg (by Rock Forever x Furst Heinrich) got 8 for trot, 9 for walk, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Spanish Victor Alfonso Pomares slotted in third aboard Hof Kasselmann's Oldenburg stallion Dark Berry (by Don Primus x Diamond Hit). He totalled 8.1 with an 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
