The 4-year old stallions Donatus, Furstenhof and Dantano were decorated with the 2014 Weltmeyer Prize at the Hanoverian Stallion Show in Verden, Germany, on 9 February 2014.

Each year the Hanoverian society awards the Weltmeyer prize to the 4-year old Hanoverian dressage stallions which stand out with their performance in the 70-day stallion performance testing. Initially the award was only given to the best performing stallion, but this year three stallions received it at the annual stallion show of privately owned stallions.

The first recipient of the Weltmeyer prize was the chestnut Donatus (by Don Frederico x Weltruhm), bred by Ernst Otto Heitmann in Handorf and owned by the Landgestut Celle.

The second recipient was another state stud owned stallion, Furstenhof (by Furst Grandioso). Owned by a syndicate between the state studs of Celle, Marbach and Redefin, Furstenhof is bred by Karl Lehing.

The third decorated stallion was the dark bay Dantano (by Diamond Hit x Brentano II), bred by Catharina Quast. The stallion is owned by Gestut Westfalenhof.
